Licensing Info
When a WorkflowFirst license is successfully registered, one or more license files will be created in the installation folder. These will have a *.cal?? extension and will contain the registration key.
This registration key is specific to the serial number and type of license. The license files are not transferable.
The serial number is derived, by default, from the machine's MAC address on the primary network card. If the network card changes (common if you're using a VM), then the serial number will change and you will need to contact WorkflowFirst for a new registration key. Until the application is reregistered the application may go into reduced functionality mode.
An alternative means for binding the serial number also exists, which may not change so frequently and is more suitable to Virtual Machines.
Create a text file in the installation folder (in the Files subfolder), called license.cfg, and in this file put the following line only:
Strategy=2
Then restart your application/server, and it will use a different serial number based on the machine name, domain name (if any) and the Windows user account that your application is running under. You will then need to relicense your server, and contact WorkflowFirst for a new registration key.
