The Configuration tab is automatically added to all WorkflowFirst applications. It's a required part of the application and cannot be deleted. However, it contains a lot of fields that are really intended for administrators to access and edit. By default, though, even regular users can see this tab and even edit it.

To protect those settings, you can easily hide the Configuration tab for anyone who isn't an administrator.

Start by going to WorkflowFirst Designer, and selecting the field definition for the Configuration tab, called "StandingData" in the system.

Then add a flag to it called "Admin Only", and then republish.

Now only users who are administrators will be able to see the Configuration tab, for other users it won't be available.
