Glossary

In any one industry there are often several terms that have the same meaning. In the commercial finance industry, for example, what is a facility to one person is called a credit line to another. 

Although difficult to achieve, using consistent terminology is critical to the success of an application. When terminology changes from one screen to another, simply because different people developed those screens, users get confused, usability suffers and training expenses increase. 

To make it easier to manage and agree on the terminology used in an application, WorkflowFirst provides a glossary database that can be edited collaboratively. 

You can start editing the glossary by going to the Application record and then drilling down to 'Glossary' under that. Click 'Create New' or use the Quick Entry bar at the top to enter your term and definition. 

Once you are done you can view the glossary either by running the Glossary report (under 'See More'), or by clicking the Glossary view in an application.
