Using Search

Once the search is enabled, the search screen can be accessed by clicking the 'Search' link at the top-right of every page:

Here you can click in the white box and enter a search term. Pressing ENTER will run the search and display the search results.

Alternatively you can click the 'Search' text itself and be taken to a screen that provides the ability to either search for a specific term, or jump directly to a record based on an existing record number.

The above screenshot is the advanced search page, you can select the area of the application and enter in a record number to jump directly to that record. This is a very efficient way to locate records if you have the record number noted down on the printed document, for example.

If instead you enter a search term, you will be presented with the search results page:

Each search result displays the title of the record, and underneath that the date the record was last modified, followed by an extract of the text within that record. Any text marked with the 'Preview' flag will appear here.

Below that is the path of the location to that record in the application.

You can also click a 'Similar' link beside that which will show records that have the same terms used in the title of that record.
