Using DbfServer Independently

While WorkflowFirst Launcher will run the servers automatically, you can also manually start a server from a command prompt using the DbfServer.exe utility.

This small utility starts up a specific application from the command line.

WorkflowFirst Application Hosting Server v1.0 (c) 2010 RiaForm Technology
 Usage: dbfserver server-folder [app-folder portNumber, ...]

The first parameter is the folder location of WorkflowFirst. The second parameter is the application folder (where the app.ini file resides), and the third parameter is the port number to use.

Once the server starts, you can close the server by typing CLOSE and pressing ENTER.

Important: WorkflowFirst Launcher closes all DbfServer processes on the machine at startup. For this reason you cannot use DbfServer independently and then use WorkflowFirst Launcher.

Note : DbfServer must be run with elevated permissions.
